On 5 December, Gene, Betsy and I went to Marin County to climb to the summit of Mount Burdell. We started our hike to the summit in Olompali State Historical Park. For 30 years, whenever I drove north on Highway 101 heading up to Mendocino County, I passed Olompali State Park. I always noticed the unusal Indian name of the park, but never entered the park until this trip. Better late than never!
